The Terrace
An intimate gathering for curious minds - thinkers, creators and those drawn to explore what lives beyond the surface, inspired by the old tradition of salons. Welcome!
Edition ∆1 | When Shapes Speak
I'm opening my sanctuary for Edition ∆1 of The Terrace Social Gatherings, a social experiment in presence.
I invite you to my safe haven, on the mountain terrace of my private studio, for an experience of creation, conversation and insight emerging from presence.
We'll gather. Shape. Reflect. Connect.
Over drinks , gourmet bites, clay and candlelight talks.
The Experience
You arrive above the city. You leave the noise below.
We gather around the table. Hands meet clay in the afternoon light. Something begins to move, not because we plan it, but because presence allows it. Forms emerge. As the sun drops behind the mountains, candles take over.
Conversation deepens over drinks, bites and candlelight. We reflect on what the clay revealed. We connect, as people who have shared an authentic experience.
You leave when the city below is lit. What you'll take home is something that is yet to be discovered.
The Details
*date had been moved to May 30 based on weather conditions
since The Terrace is my home and the circle is intentionally small, I’ll love to have a brief conversation before confirming your seat.
The behind & beyond
No previous experience in the medium of ceramics is required. You don't have to consider yourself creative, to come. Clay is just the medium through which we step out of the mind and see what emerges.
Clay has a way of making visible what we haven't yet found words for.
This is not a ceramic workshop where you learn to create specific objects, but a space of freedom, presence, exploration and insights through matter. Whether clay is new to you or already familiar, the invitation is the same: to set aside technique, let the hands move freely and see what emerges.
Together we will work with raw clay. Not to learn - but to ground. To connect with matter. To listen. To be in the now. To let form emerge in the momentum, and witness what rises to the surface when we stop translating ourselves for the world.
The Menu
Everything served is an invitation to slow down, linger, and ground as the conversation deepens.
The Host
I’m Laura, Soul Psychologist and ceramic designer. I’ve realized that these aren’t two separate practices - they are one.
Through Soul Psychology, I facilitate others in making visible what lives underneath, the patterns, the blocks, the Soul's original blueprint.
Through the medium of ceramics, I create these sculptural presences to function as anchors for the nervous system, objects that sometimes hold light and always mirror inner states.
Both practices do the same thing: they take what’s invisible and make it visible.
The inside reaching the outside. Through hands, through clay, through words.
Perceptive presence is the core of my work - a channel through which inner truth emerges.
This is how I create, how I hold sessions, and how I move through decisions and direction in life.
It is also what I intend my objects and the spaces I hold to activate in others - a return to presence, where what is already there can become visible.
I've found my safe haven in these mountains 4 years ago, relocating to Brașov. For a long time I kept this place to myself. The Terrace is me opening the door.
Here you'll also find Masik, a Chow Chow, the resident holder of presence - who may grace the gathering with his energy.
At The Terrace, things tend to unfold in their own way. Request your seat and welcome in!
